Senior Product Designer

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Pow Interactive in a full-time, remote role.

Pow designers play a hybrid role, sometimes providing user experience design, other times visual design solutions, and often both. We work in multidisciplinary product teams, frequently supporting our clients as extensions of their own teams.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, researchers, business analysts, product managers, stakeholders, and other designers to create thoughtful digital experiences. The work may include discovery, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface design, data visualization, design systems, and polished visual design solutions.

Our client work increasingly includes AI-enabled products and features, so we’re also interested in designers who are curious about emerging technologies and thoughtful about how they can be used to create better experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the discovery of insights, opportunities, requirements, and project goals.
• Develop concepts and design solutions that respond to business requirements, user needs, research, and project objectives.
• Translate research, requirements, and data into UX strategy and actionable design solutions.
• Create user flows, site maps, wireframes, interface designs, prototypes, and other deliverables appropriate to the project.
• Create interactive prototypes and participate in testing and validation of design hypotheses.
• Apply strong visual design principles and brand guidelines, including typography, iconography, photography, color, and other visual elements.
• Work within, extend, and evolve design systems across screens, templates, and components.
• Present ideas, concepts, design work, insights, and opportunities to clients and project teams.
• Participate in design critiques, working sessions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document your design process and clearly communicate the rationale behind design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers throughout implementation and provide specifications and design QA as needed.
• Help sustain and build strong client relationships.
• Support new business development and internal marketing initiatives as needed.
• Stay current with evolving design practices, technologies, and software tools.
• Provide oversight, mentorship, and direction to other designers as needed.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI design, interaction design, visual design, or a related discipline.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX, polished visual design, and end-to-end digital product work.
• Strong proficiency with Figma and experience working with modern design systems.
• Strong visual design skills, including typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and attention to detail.
• Experience designing responsive digital products and experiences across desktop and mobile.
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, stakeholders, and other designers.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.
• Comfort working independently, managing priorities, and navigating ambiguity in a remote consulting environment.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI-enabled products and tools, and how they can improve user experiences and design workflows.
